After a night a strong southerly breezes reaching 30 knots Intercall Ausmaid is 204 miles from the finish line in the FKP Ltd Sydney Mooloolaba Race.

The breeze that saw the boat gybing in 23 knots has softening and the boat is currently doing approx 5-10 knots. "We had a great night sailing with our big kite which we changed to the jib top in the early hours of this morning" said Tom Quick from the boat earlier today and Alan Quick, the new owner, "is all smiles and enjoying the race" at her performance so far in the 460 mile race.

Intercall Ausmaid spent 3 hours of the night racing wave for wave with Austmark and at lunchtime today had pulled ahead of Austmark and Tow Truck for the second time in this race. " We could see them right beside us we rode down waves in the 25 knot southerly" said a crew member. The boat was maintaining a line 13 miles off the coast with all the crew enjoying the ride on the yacht in its return race to the ocean racing circuit.

Intercall Ausmaid is currently placed in second position in the IMS division behind Brindabella and ninth in the IRC division with the yacht in seventh place for line honours ahead of Quest and Fitness First Sting.
